Holy crap... I thought it would be hard to top last year's Comic-Con, but I so did.
Before I tell the story, I must say that my new camera ROCKS. I want to marry it. I also want to say that I am building a personal shield around my apartment to protect me from the inevitable pounding from you other SGA fangirls. :P
Also, there was s much fun stuff discussed that I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff.
dcpesses, if you think of something big I missed, remind me!
( Beware, there be Stargate spoilers ahead! )The cast was sent away after that, so I ran back to my seat, elated, to wait for the Family Guy panel. Dear lord, I can't wait for the Stewie DVD! They showed preview clips, and it was hilarious! Peter talking to Mickey Mouse out of costume at Disneyland = priceless. And another happy surprise here, everyone at that panel was given a free "Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story" t-shirt! Woop!
So we head back down to the exhibit hall, and as we're walking through the Sony booth for more freebies, Danny nudges me and says hey... I look up, and there's Jason Momoa right in front of me!! I was really shy and went up to say hi, and he was SO nice! He said my jacket was awesome. :D And I GOT A PICTURE WITH HIM! Wooo! I touched THREE Atlantis men today!!!!!
Much wandering again after that (I think I saw Brad Wright wander through the SciFi booth, totally unnoticed) and I bought me a Stargate Atlantis sweatshirt as well as a cool X-Files poster with the "Ruins" novel cover art on it. I also stopped and shook hands with David Franklin and Lani Tupu, from Farscape, who were sharing a booth. :D
Other Comic-Con randomness:
-Stewie walk-around character. How much does that rock?!
-The Stargate SG-1/Atlantis pens given out by Sony. They light up and have the trippiest, blinking colors EVER. /easily amused
-One booth had these little Playmobil looking guys on it from various TV shows. When I was looking at the X-Files ones, they had a Peacock one from the episode "Home"... how creepy is THAT!?
Of course, as I said, I want to marry my new camera. Tons of pics up at my new photo location:
http://xfkirsten.smugmug.com Now that I have a paid spot with unlimited storage (they only limit bandwidth) I could also upload full-size versions, although I did compress them for easier uploading. I know, I'm heavy on the David Hewlett photos, but he was so much fun that I couldn't help it!
WHEW!! Well, I'm off to get ready for Disneyland!
...BUT OMFG, I TOUCHED JOE FLANIGAN AND PAUL MCGILLION AND JASON MOMOA!
/still can't get over that
