Christmas parade taping was today! OMG, it was NUTS. Miley Cyrus was performing, so the place was packed with fangirls. :P I didn't see her, though, 'cause Splash is too far from the castle. And of course, in the middle of that craziness, Splash went down. And in the middle of trying to evac and reset, Big Thunder went down. Can has no Frontierland attractions for over an hour?

TSI/Country Bears training starts tomorrow! YAY! I'm really excited. I'm sooo burned out on Splash.

Cutest kids EVAR while I was doing a rare night PAC for Spectro shift this week. We started playing catch, and then like 20 kids joined and it got too chaotic. So I got them all to sit in a big circle in the middle of the street (hey, once PACtivities start, they take priority over people trying to walk down the street. So says the Management) and spread our legs to the sides to make a "leg wall" to keep the ball from rolling away as we rolled it back and forth. They were SO into it. XD And all of a sudden, all my managers are standing around laughing at the totally random game I started. XD One kid in particular cracked me up. He couldn't have been more than 6... thick southern accent...

(talking about football)
Him: Who do you go for?
Me: I don't really have a favorite college team, but I'm a big Seahawks fan in pro football.
Him: Auburn or Alabama.
Me: Hmm?
Him: Which one: Auburn or Alabama? *flail* AUBURN OR ALABAMA?!??!
Me: *dies*

(three guesses where he was from)

(and on a side note I'm watching the Alabama/Florida game now... GOOD game... GO GATORS!)

And as a football note... LULZ... Issaquah High and Skyline High played each other in the WA State 4A championship. Issaquah schools party in the championship, anyone? (Skyline won, sadly, in a close game)

Not much else going on! Trying to draw a lot and catch up on art I owe people and such. Also working on the cross-stitch, which is coming along great.

Aaaaand, it's time for book reviews for November! Not as much reading time, but I got a few read...

11/23/08
Twilight - Stephenie Meyer

It was cheesy. It read like a Mary Sue fanfiction story. But damn, I couldn't stop reading! Very enjoyable, despite the borderline-cliche romance.

11/17/08
Tigers in Red Weather - Ruth Padel

A firsthand look at tigers in the wild, not from the point of view of a scientist, but from the point of view of someone who just fell in love with them. Her observations on environmental conditions versus politics are a real eye-opener. That makes it depressing at times, of course, but it's important to know, too. I could have done without the parallels to her love life, though. They were a bit distracting.

11/10/08
Inkdeath - Cornelia Funke

Easily the best of the trilogy! I was totally hooked. It had twists and turns that I wasn't expecting, and plenty of character development. A great end to the trilogy!

We like to play parachute, too. It's like being in kindergarten again. XD

When you get your cross-stitch done, how about taking a nice hi-res photo of it and posting it here on LJ? The sample you linked to when you bought it was pretty poor quality. (Not your fault, of course.)

Also, here's hoping that your first performance of Candlelight Procession goes well, but whatever happens, please post a report here on LJ. I find all your tales of life's little mishaps quite hilarious. (Laughing with you, of course, not at you.) ;-)

Of course! It'll still be awhile - I'm maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of the way done. :P

Hopefully Candlelight goes well! Next week!
