MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Went to the Seahawks game on Sunday, and damn, it was cold! The temperature wasn't that low, but the winds were blowing steadily at about 20 mph the whole game, and that made it cold! Well worth it, though - the Seahawks kicked some serious Raven ass. :D

As a cold, awesome Christmas present to Seattle... we're having a WHITE CHRISTMAS! It started snowing a couple of hours ago, and it's still coming down hard! We probably only have a half inch or so thus far, but the way it's coming down, I bet we'll see quite a bit more before the day's over. :)

The WDW Christmas Day Parade this morning was good! It seemed like they showed more parade and less blatant advertising, which I really appreciated. It felt kinda character-less, though. Mickey and Minnie were barely even in the opening number, and I didn't even see one character in the finale. And Giselle only got like 30 seconds. *cries* The performances were good, though. The High School Musical one cracked me up - they just changed random words to "What Time Is It" to make it a Christmas song. It was like something kids do on the internet as a joke, except it was real, LOL. And no Zac Efron, even though the rest of the cast was there. :(

After poking from [info]ariellen, I started watching season one of Grey's Anatomy last night. Holy crap, I'm already hooked. Great combination of drama and comedy, with fun characters! :D I've only had time to see the first couple of episodes so far, but I definitely gotta see more. A couple of observations:
-They are not "ferry boats." Period. You cannot possibly reveal yourself more as an out-of-towner than if you call them "ferry boats." Six year olds call them "ferry boats." Real people here call them "ferries." XD (I am willing to forgive, however, since it's McDreamy, and he is from New York)
-I can't help but laugh that the site of the hospital is actually the studio building of Seattle's ABC affiliate station. How appropriate. XD

I'm originally from Tacoma, and I don't think I ever heard them referred to as anything but "the Ferry". Ferry boats, seriously? lol

Seriously! And he says it like four times in one line of dialogue. It was quite distracting. I guess you can say it makes sense because his character was supposed to be new to Seattle, having moved there just a few weeks before. But... GAH! :P

I was reading somewhere that one of the executive producers is from Bellevue? He needs to come back and take a refresher course on Living in Seattle. :P

Now you're gonna be hooked like me damnit. And omg I'm really hoping that I don't like McDreamy when it comes back because ENCHANTED MADE ME LIKE HIM.

And damn I wanted a white Christmas. New York was sunny and WARM.

I did! And I loved it!! :P I like McDreamy - so far, at least. I've heard people's opinions change on him as the series goes on. :P (BTW, that picture you took of the news helicopter landing while we were walking to the Space Needle? That's where the helicopter lands at the hospital on Grey's :P)

Yeah, but you get to be in New York, so no complaining! :P

You found time to watch some Grey's!!!! Hooray!!!! :D See, it's a very easy show to get hooked on even after the masses have already done so. I do not at all regret the antics with Teh Stick, then!

You got me hooked, you evil person! :P I've only got a couple of season one episodes left (there's only 9 of them, LOL) and am downloading season 2 now. And of course I watched tonight's rerun, 'cause I'm a cheater like that. Teh Stick has once again done its job!

Ooh, tonight's rerun was the one where "Ellen pretty much wanted to hurt the families/boyfriends of just about every patient (for being selfish jerks), Dr. Karev (for being a jerk), and Dr. Grey (for being STUPID enough to say NOTHING when McDreamy is standing there saying "I want to marry you" in a moment that reminds audiences why this guy goes by 'McDreamy'). That said...one of my favorites of this season. The fact that tonight, it was enhanced with an Enchanted TV spot that I hadn't seen added to the 'yay-ness,' except for the fact that it was totally spoileriffic. I was torn between GLEE at so many of my favorite R/G moments in one trailer and annoyance that the TV spot didn't come with major spoiler alerts to protect my mom.

Saw Sweeney Todd today, will gush about that later, thought I'd report that I also acquired an Enchanted popcorn bag while at the theatre. XD

OMG YES. I totally wanted to smack her! The "I want to marry you" bit had me squealing, and she did NOTHING. I like Meredith, but DUDE, girl needs to jump on him (in more ways than she already has)! :P And I hadn't seen that Enchanted spot, either! But it totally used the "you're beautiful" moment, and I was all "no! you're not supposed to blatantly TELL them where it's going!" :P

Need pics!!! XD I started putting together my pink Giselle dress today! Going quick and easy now that I have the fabric pieces cut. It took me like 2 hours just to cut 8 freakin' fabric pieces. Another few hours and I'll be done! Still need to find a good wig, though...

I will accept the evil crown with pride in the name of bringing more people to the cause of Grey's Anatomy. :D I am still grateful my roommates brought me over to the cause last year. *didn't take a picture of the "Love Thursdays" Grey's poster at the ABC Commissary or anything...*

I frequently feel the urge to smack Meredith! And it's not because I don't like her; I do...I don't think she'd frustrate me so much if I didn't like her! I get that she has issues, but COME ON! Derek's had some moments where he deserved a good smacking, too, but he's really made an effort to be patient and supportive and wonderful for her, and she keeps playing this wishy-washy game with him, and it's maddening! Which means the writers have succeeded in making me care, so alll's well. (STILL! When McDreamy talks about marrying you and having kids and growing old and dying safe in your arms, you say SOMETHING!!!!)

Yup; I almost threw a pillow at the TV at the "you look beautiful" moment, but then it cut to her falling on top of him in the towel and I literally LOLed instead.

Will take pics when back at school. *is silly and forgot her camera* Can't wait to see the dress!

I've finished season 1 now, and ouch, what an ending. XD (Not that I didn't already know about Addison, but what a painful way to end it :P) That would be one of those moments where Derek needed a smacking. And YES, OMG, if a guy I liked said that to me, I think I'd melt on the spot, not run away screaming "not ready!" :P

Why, oh why can't Enchanted come out on DVD NOW, just so I can watch those cute moments like "you look beautiful" over and over and over again? :P

Got the bulk of it put together tonight, just gotta put the boning into the liner and sew it all together and add the ribbon! :D It's looking awesome so far! :D
