The Return, Pt 1  
O...M...G... AMAZING.

No running commentary again - watched it last night, but haven't had a chance to review until now.

Absolutely one of the best episodes of Atlantis ever, and possibly my new favorite. The character interaction and portrayal was just perfect! I really loved that they were all forced to leave the city, and that we actually got to see how they'd all react in such a situation.

The highlights for me:
-Teyla wanting more popcorn. OMG CONTINUITY!
-Ronon giving John the big hug. TOO CUTE!! XD
-Elizabeth and John talking in Elizabeth's quarters. First of all, her quarters are FREAKIN' HUGE. Second, their conversation was so awkward, and that made me laugh. Not awkward in a bad way, but awkward in an "OMG, we had sex in this room just last night way." XD
-The goodbye scene in the gate room. John and Teyla with the Athosian head touchy thingy. Such a sweet goodbye for them. And I loved Ronon's "OMG, hands off my woman!" look that he gave John. :P
-Rodney and John's conversation over the phone. Great character reveal for Rodney especially!
-Carson's conversation with Elizabeth at her apartment. So telling! It was fascinating to see Elizabeth react that way - shying away from the people she knew in Atlantis, hiding from the world. The conversation she had with Beckett was SO telling about the close relationship between the two of them. He spoke openly and honestly, and did what he could to pull her out of hiding.
-The dinner scene. OMG, Liz was a flirt! :P "Cheeky!" :P I also liked that John was so sure that she didn't sleep... wonder how he knew THAT? *cough* ;) And everyone getting the phone calls but Carson was HILARIOUS. Sad for Carson, but funny at the same time.
-Their plot to sneak back to Atlantis. I REALLY love this - it's the team working together. ALL of them. Not leaving Elizabeth behind.
-Liz distracting Dr. Lee by pretending that she was an avid World of Warcraft player. Quite possibly the most hilarious scene on the show to date! She was a RIOT!
-Liz with the P-90?! I'm still not quite sure how I feel about it, but either way, I think it's interesting to note. She seemed pretty comfortable with it being there. I'm really anxious to see how that will resolve in part 2 - is she actually going to end up USING it, or will she just be carrying it just in case and instead taking cover behind the rest of the group?
-Carson's turtles. HI-FREAKING-LARIOUS.
-Ronon was TOTALLY joined at the hip with Teyla in that Athosian village scene. ;) And then the Atlantis group showing up to get them in on the plan? Perfect!

I'm sure there's a TON more, but it's late and they've totally slipped my mind at the moment. Suffice it to say that this episode is probably now my new favorite! :D

I can't believe how massive her room is! Leadership certainly has its advantages!

So glad that there was some interaction between Elizabeth and Carson. I haven't seen it of course, but I've been hoping that something would be done to show friendship between these characters.

And OMG, Cookie's about to knock me over. He's just gone insane...... Running around at 100 miles an hour with his ears back.... you know, the way they do with that wild look in their eyes..

I wanna know now what her room looked like when it was full of stuff! :P Her quarters on Atlantis were bigger than my whole apartment in San Diego.

The interaction between Elizabeth and Carson is EXCELLENT. Another chance for them to really showcase their friendship. I think if I were to point out who was Elizabeth's best friend on Atlantis, at this point I'd probably say Carson. They really seem to confide in each other and trust each other SO much.

LMAO! He's possessed! :P

I love Carson!!! I want them to leave our sweet 'wee teddy bear' (as Ana calls him!) alone!!!!

And yes, he is possessed, and he's being frighteningly quiet right now. I'm suspicious...

-The popcorn comment and Landon seeking out Ronon and Teyla were great for continuity.
-I'm still wondering if that hug was scripted, lol
-Loving your logic on the bedroom scene *g*
-Someone at GW mentioned that their hubby thought John has asked Carson to go see her.
-Flirty!Lizzie, mmmrawr!
-Dude, they need to get better ringtones =P
-Nice to see Lizzie and Carson joining in on the sneaking commando style without any real awkardness or doing anything that would give them away.
-Carson is such a woobie!
-Very interesting to see Lizzie with a P90. I'm wondering whether John gave it to her or she picked one up while the others were gearing up? I can see her picking it up, John giving a look of: o_O and Lizzie giving him a cute smile and the eyebrow in return.
I think she will use it. I've had a feeling for a while that she'll end up putting a bullet in someone, but I didn't think it would be until the season finale. I was reading the spoilers for the finale on GW and it says "she will have to take drastic measures in order to save the city of Atlantis." and "the [replicators] can be destroyed the old fashioned way." Looks to be another powerful episode. (and I've just noticed it's written by Gero and directed by Woods. I do look forward to this!)

LMAO! So I'm not the only who thought their ringtones were boring! :P It think it'd be funnier if they blastd music. I can totally see John having a music ringtone especially. Maybe "Burning Ring of Fire"? :P

Oh, man, you have no idea how excited those spoilers for the finale make me. Seriously. I'm really, really curious. It should start shooting in like a week!

Hehehe, and McKay could have the Star Trek theme and Lizzie could have the Real Tone of 'Smack ya bitch up' =P

You should all go stalk to the sets with uber binoculars and see what you can find out, lol.

Oo! Wonder if Lizzie gets shot? It would certainly make a good cliffhanger.

OMG, I would DIE of laughter if Lizzie had that... and suddenly the table goes silent as the others stare at her in shock and amusement... :P

Heee! We were actually talking about the possibility of Liz getting shot yesterday...

Yeah, that was pretty much my reaction. I was absolutely floored by that episode -- it was amazing! Character pieces rule the world, and Carson was beyond adorable with his turtles. :)

For me, it's the character pieces that make the show, and this episode was HUGE for that! :D

The character relationships is probably the strongest thing they have going for them. They do it so well and I think in an age where any plot you do is a rehash of something or other, you need to stick with that.

I think that's pretty much the majority's reaction to the episode! It rocked!

I couldn't believe how HUGE Elizabeth's quarters were! Her convo with John was awkward and so formal with the 'Colonel', 'Doctor' bit, that you can't help but laugh a little ;).

They were REALLY awkward in her quarters, but you're right, you can't help but laugh a little! Maybe they were just disappointed that they'd be losing access to their storage closet. ;)

I was asking myself "John darling, and you happen to know this how?". ;D This episode was fantastic, my favorite parts were their conversation in Elizabeth's quarters, John and Teyla's goodbye, Ronon tackling/hugging John, and Elizabeth flirting with Dr. Lee, poor guy he was just so happy that the hot chick was paying him attention, Elizabeth has this power over geeks, they can't resist her.

OMG, we were just rolling on the floor laughing at Elizabeth an Dr. Lee. The whole way the two of them played that out was absolutely perfect! :D

I couldn't believe it, funniest part of the epi for me, that and the wee turtles, poor Carson, he's the sweetest guy, so cuddly.
