ZOMG I SAW WICKED AGAIN!!! *squees and runs in circles* And OMG, Kendra Kassebaum is totally my hero. She's so freakin' awesome. Again. :P

Headed up to Orange County early, and pit-stopped at Disneyland for awhile! I got there just as Parade of Dreams was hitting Main Street, so I stopped to tape that. Yaaaay, Lion King show stop! Afterwards, I decided to go get my Jack Sparrow love, so I joined the long-ass Pirates line. After half an hour of waiting, just as I'm getting past the parrot/map part inside, the line stops moving... and never restarted. We got the dreaded about-face command from the CMs. *cries* After hearing some of the crap coming out of the mouths of the family behind me (your child is obnoxious because YOU are obnoxious, asshat) directed at the CM, I stopped to tell the CM thanks for doing his job well, and good luck in dealing with the stupid people. Seriously, I get so sick of the crap people give CMs when a ride breaks down, as if it's their fault. They deserve major kudos for dealing with that all the time. Anyways, I ended up just wandering around for awhile after that. Got some food, and watched the watch artist on Main Street for awhile. God, their artwork makes me so jealous. He was doing a watercolor of Lady, and it was AWESOME. If I had his mad art skillz, I could die happy. Also stopped at World of Disney and window shopped for a bit - I figure that if there's anything I really want from the parks, I should get it now! But in the end... yes, I went to Disneyland and didn't go on a single ride. :P

Then it was over to meet [info]roguecows to go see Wicked!!! EEEEE! OMG, it was SO AWESOME again!! The audience there was even more receptive than the one in San Diego. They REALLY got into it! Hell, people were screaming and cheering as soon as Julia Murney hit that last note in "The Wizard and I" and cheered through the whole duration of it! Kendra Kassebaum was once again TEH AWESOME. She is the bestest best Glinda EVAR. "SPARKLES!!!!" XD Since the Kendra "Popular" vid I linked to last time on YouTube has since been removed (YouTube taking down good bootlegs makes baby jeebus cry!) here's a new one I found on there (although she totally bifs up one line :P)! I also really loved when the Tin Man's hat totally fell off in the middle of "March of the Witch Hunters" and he couldn't get it back on. Ah, the bane of live theater! :P Dammit, why can't this show be around all the time?! :P

Psh I go to Disneyland all the time and sometimes don't even get on anything. I shoot for one ride at least but sometimes it's too long for even that :P

Heeeee, that clip was awesome! I was giggling the whole way through! :) I can only hope our London Glinda will be as good. Only...exactly a month to go, wow, scary, good timing! lol! :D

Both times I've seen Kendra she was crazy like that. So energetic and bouncy that I absolutely LOVED her performance! Glinda's always bored me, but Kendra makes me love her. :P

Nooo faiiiir! I would SO kill to see Idina! :D

I dont know why, but out of all the Glinda's, Kristin Chenoweth is the only one who can convince me that she's learnt something in the end. The others do better jobs of other songs than her, but they dont quite convince me in For Good. Its strange.

I/we booked before anyone knew it was Idina, lol! :) I had this weird feeling that we just had to book quickly and the announcement was made the day after we booked! I never usually really get excited about my birthday but this year I'm all 'I get to see Wicked! Woohoo!' :D

:) Well, I blame [info]mizz_magenta for my obsession! :D

Yeah, I can see that. :) Kendra's just so unbelievably bubbly that she's an absolute riot, but I think that kind of makes it hard to take her as seriously.

Are you gonna go to the stage door afterward? I would, just for Idina! XD

...it always comes back to blaming [info]mizz_magenta. I knew there was a reason we always say "blame Sally." ;)

Nah, I dont think we'll be doing the stage door thing. I hate bothering people and she'd probably just want to get the heck home! :) Plus, I have no idea what we're doing. We either have to run for a train or end up in a bar, lol.

Aww! I felt the same way, which is my I'd never done it before I went to see Wicked. But then I realized that it's sort of a time-honored tradition (at least here in the States, not sure if it's true across the pond) and that it'd be fun. And the whole cast was SO sweet with everyone - it seemed like they were just really appeciative of the support from the fans. By the time Julia Murney came out after showering and all, there was only a few of us left anyways. :)

I think the only time I've ever gone to the stage door was when my best friend's cousin had lead roles on the West End. I'm really shy, so I dont know if I could do the stage door thing. I'd be afraid of annoying people. :( Sounds like you had an awesome time! :D

I'm always terrified of annoying people, too. Heck, I saw Jason Momoa in the exhibit hall at ComicCon last year, and wouldn't go say hi because I didn't want to bother him - my friend had to drag me over there! LOL

I got this extension for Firefox last night. You can download the .flv video files off pages like Googe Video or YouTube really easily, and you can watch them with the totally awesome VLC Player. :)

Oh sadness! I think I'm going to renew again when mine expires... I just hope I get my use out of it... I figure I have Feb-May to get most of my use out of it :) (It expires in January)

ZOMG I'd be totally jealous except I saw it on Broadway!!!!! =P Only had to queue 4 hours in the cancellation line, lol. Great performances, they got a standing ovation. Can't wait to see it with a different cast. Must be...different LOL
