I just had my last day at work and OMG IT WAS SO MUCH FUN. I ended up in costume, and my escort and I decided, "Hey, wouldn't it be fun if Kirsten went out in a penguin?" And so... I did! Now, for those non-SeaWorld character people, the height range for Penny is... oh... about six inches shorter than me. I was a GIANT PENGUIN. Luckily, the new bodies are actually pretty long, so it wasn't such a bad fit. I didn't have my normal camera, but luckily I did have my cell phone...


Sadly, some of the pictures have decided that they are too big for my phone to send them to my e-mail. Grr. But here are some of the ones I got transferred to my computer!

First of all, there was some hyper craziness playing in the dressing room, on the old whale rack:


The set started out fairly normally... then, we decided it would be way cool if Penny went to go play on the playground!




Penny made friends with Shamu, but the relationship was rather one-sided. Nevertheless, she got to ride on his back!


She got an adorable picture of herself kissing Shamu on the nose, but alas, the EvilCellPhone does not want to send that one.

Dear lord, in all the time I've been a SeaWorld character, I have never sweated more than I did today. But it was all so, SO worth it. I had an absolute blast!

And now, Kirsten's list of top-SeaWorld-past-moments-that-she'll-admit-to-since-she's-no-longer-employed:
-Dressing up another character in a mix of costume pieces, and then having to chase him down when he tried to go out on set like that
-Playing on the Happy Harbor boat on bird-mite-day
-Playing on the Russian swing
-Dressing up in the scary toga for the JTA grand opening ceremony
-Trying to do monkey rolls in the CCDR at 8:30 in the morning
-Dancing contests at the bungee towers during the Russian swing segment
-Making fun of dorky guests at House of Douse over the headsets
-Watching "Dune Quixote" on my laptop between sets - "ONWARD, NOBLE STEED!"
-Having to take the Caribe out at 10pm in the pitch black to bring gas out to the barge
-Watching the 4th of July fireworks from Tower 1
-The Homosexual Antelope!!
-POMATO!
