I'm heeeeere!
Six days in the car? *DIES* 6 days of my moving life, in recap:
Seattle: my car almost didn't start. Along the way, I passed a truck whose mudflaps said "Make a trucker smile - flash him." I lol'ed (but did not flash him).
Oregon: Long and boring. Luckily made it through the Siskiyous okay!
California: Long and boring. Oh, but Lake Shasta covered in snow? GORGEOUS. Stopped and saw
unspokenlonging in LA! OMG DISNEY STORE. I got a Giselle blanket. It is cozy. XD We also saw Juno, which was good, but I don't quite see what the fuss was over it.
Arizona: Prease to tell me when I'm in mountain time? Other than clock confusion, not bad.
New Mexico: So dry and high altitude that I got the first bloody nose of my life.
Texas: LONG AND BORING TIMES INFINITY. Oh, and driving from Phoenix to San Antonio alone in one day? Never again. :P That being said, 80 mph speed limits for the win. San Antonio freeway interchanges are confusing, especially at 11pm after 15 hours behind the wheel. :P Oh, and Dairy Queen kid in Houston hitting on me? Cute. :P
Louisiana: Pretty little state! It was awesome seeing my old CP roommate again and catching up.
Mississippi: In and out! Free Coke at the welcome center, though. :D
Alabama: In and out!
Florida: FINALLY! Took longer to drive through than I expected! But free orange juice at the welcome center, yay!
Finally arrived here at like 8:30 Saturday night, and had my apartment waiting for me. It's a cute little place, pretty convenient to lots of shopping. I can walk to Taco Bell, woooo! I still have no furniture. Except a TV stand. Spent the last few days getting essentials, getting utilities hooked up, and sitting around playing Wii while I had no internet. :P
I went to Downtown Disney last night! *dances* OMG, I was freaking while I drove in. "There's SeaWorld! There's Crossroads and Perkins and Goodings and... and OMFG I'M DRIVING UNDER THE WALT DISNEY WORLD SIGN and OMFG WORLD OF DISNEY." And all of my CP came rushing back at me. :D Went to Rainforest Cafe with
vinsaneboy, then we wandered around the Marketplace. I bought Enchanted books at World of Disney and Once Upon a Toy. :P The only other Enchanted merch I saw in the whole place was a couple of the dolls. SAD! :( That being said, the DTD theater is still showing the movie. XD
And yes, I went to Casting today. :P They're hiring nothing right now, except parade performers and face characters. Guess what I interviewed for? XD Audition happens Thursday! *fingers crossed* I doubt I'll get hired right off the bat since they're really only looking for dancers and I am not a dancer, but hopefully I'll at least make it into the pool! I also got onto the wait list for attractions. Oh, and seriously? The number of people in there interviewing in jeans and a t-shirt? WTF? The interview was nothing - I got asked if I had any criminal convictions, any tattoos, and if I had any attendance problems during my CP. And that was pretty much it. :P
And tonight, I'm getting back into the Florida weather spirit - pouring rain, lightning, thunder, and a tornado watch! :D
Other random stuff... Amy Adams in the sequel to Night at the Museum? FOR THE WIN. More new episodes of Grey's Anatomy coming next month? FOR THE WIN. 1995 Flipper episodes on Veoh? FOR THE FUCKIN' WIN. Indy 4 trailer on Friday morning? SO MUCH WIN.
In the meantime... being a bum! I deserve a vacation, oh yes I do. Floridians, call me if you wanna hang out! (or drop me a message if you need my number)
